Just had to share this video of Imogen Heap performing live. Simply amazing.

Imogen Imitation

Ms. Bean just clued me in to a new artist, Emmy Rossum.

Don’t know too much so far, except that we agree on one thing: her new album sounds like an attempt to imitate Imogen heap… with far too much synth. To quote the fair Ms. Bean:

“…that album is one of the few that has truly disappointed me. when I heard she was coming out with something, it piqued my interest a little because she has such a beautiful voice in Phantom [of the Opera]….like I said: imogen heap with too many vocoders”

I am working on getting Ms. Bean on as (somewhat) regular contributor. Perhaps she will comment on this album herself if she decides to take the gig. (I have only heard one track from the album so far)
