Words.
Just take a moment and think about them.
Every day we use them, written or spoken, but how often do we sit back and actually consider the origins and importance of the words we use?
Here I have listed many of the words that I have encountered. Not all, certainly not. Just interesting words. Or words that I keep having to look up for some reason. I started to keep a list of words several years ago. I have lost the list several times, but it is still quite long. Over the next few months I will work to add new words to the list.
(Despite their interesting origins, I have chosen to exclude… questionable… words, for the moment. At some point in the future I may create a password protected page [to keep the kiddies away] where I discuss the more colorful side of linguistics.)
